DESCRIPTION
Betatec-16 Tablets (Betahistine Dihydrochloride 16 mg) is an antispinal medication used to treat Meniere's disease, a disorder of the inner ear. It works by improving blood circulation in the inner ear. This reduces the buildup of pressure within the inner ear.
INDICATION
MECHANISM OF ACTION
Betatec-16 Tablets (Betahistine Dihydrochloride 16 mg) relieves the symptoms of Meniere's disease by acting as a partial agonist at H1 histamine receptors and as an antagonist at H3 histamine receptors. This mechanism increases the release of histamine, dilates blood vessels and improves microcirculation in the inner ear. As a result, pressure in the inner ear is reduced, blood circulation is improved and fluid balance is stabilized, reducing dizziness and tinnitus and normalizing vestibular function.
