DISCRIPTIONS
Etotec-TH Tablet is a combination of ( Etoricoxib 60 + Thiocolchicoside 4 mg). It is a painkiller medicine that provides relief from pain and swelling associated with muscle spasms such as low back pain, neck pain, sprains, and strains. Etoricoxib is a selective COX-2 inhibitor that reduces pain and inflammation by preventing the release of prostaglandins, which are chemicals responsible for pain and swelling. Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant that works by binding to specific receptors in the central nervous system to relax muscles and prevent muscle contractions. This dual-action formula effectively alleviates discomfort and improves mobility in patients suffering from musculoskeletal conditions.
INDICATION
MECHANISM OF ACTION
Etoricoxib (60 mg): Selectively inhibits the cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzyme, reducing the production of prostaglandins that cause pain and inflammation. By targeting COX-2 specifically, Etoricoxib decreases pain and inflammation with a lower risk of gastrointestinal side effects compared to non-selective NSAIDs.
Thiocolchicoside (4 mg): Functions as a muscle relaxant by acting on the central nervous system. It modulates neurotransmitter activity to alleviate muscle spasms and stiffness, reducing muscle tone and improving mobility.
