MECHANISM OF ACTION
Jenbro-200 SR Tablet (Acebrophylline 200 mg SR) acts through several mechanisms to improve respiratory function. It contains Ambroxol, a mucolytic agent that breaks down and thins mucus in the airways, easing its clearance and reducing congestion. Additionally, Acebrophylline is metabolized to Theophylline, a bronchodilator that relaxes airway muscles by increasing cyclic AMP levels, thereby alleviating bronchoconstriction. It also has anti-inflammatory properties, reducing the release of inflammatory mediators and the activity of inflammatory cells in the airways. Lastly, its antioxidant effects help neutralize free radicals and reduce oxidative stress, further protecting the airways and supporting overall lung health.
