Lulisan Cream (Luliconazole 1 % + Benzyl alcohol 1% w/v Cream) is an antifungal medicine that is used to treat fungal skin infections such as athletes' feet (fungal infection of the skin on the feet and between the toes), jock itch (fungal infection of the skin in the groin or buttocks), ringworm (fungal skin infection that causes a red scaly rash on different parts of your body), etc. Lulisan Cream (Luliconazole 1 % + Benzyl alcohol 1% w/v Cream) works by killing the fungus by damaging their cell wall formation.

INDICATION

• Tinea Pedis

Tinea pedis or Athlete's foot is a fungal foot infection that usually begins between the toes and spreads to the toenails. It occurs when fungus grows on the feet. You may get this infection by coming into contact with infected skin, or fungus in the environment. This condition is common in people whose feet have become very sweaty while using tight-fitting shoes. Lulisan Cream (Luliconazole 1 % + Benzyl alcohol 1% w/v Cream) is used in the treatment of Tinea pedis.

• Tinea Cruris

Tinea cruris or jock itch is a fungal infection on the moist and warm areas of your body like the genitals, inner thighs and buttocks. This infection is more common in people who sweat a lot, who are overweight or who wear tight-fitting clothing. The rashes may burn or feel itchy, and the skin may be flaky or scaly. Lulisan Cream (Luliconazole 1 % + Benzyl alcohol 1% w/v Cream) is used in the treatment of Tinea cruris.

• Tinea Corporis

Tinea corporis or ringworm is a rash on the skin caused by a fungal infection. It is not caused due to a worm as its name suggests. Lulisan Cream (Luliconazole 1 % + Benzyl alcohol 1% w/v Cream) is used in the treatment of Tinea corporis.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

Luliconazole : This antifungal agent works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. By disrupting ergosterol production, luliconazole compromises the integrity of the fungal cell membrane, leading to cell death. It is particularly effective against a wide range of dermatophytes and yeast.

Benzyl Alcohol : This compound acts as a topical antiseptic and preservative. It has mild antifungal and antibacterial properties, which help enhance the overall effectiveness of the cream by preventing contamination and supporting the treatment of skin infections.
