DESCRIPTION

Olmilip-20 Tablet is used to manage hypertension (high blood pressure). It contains Olmesartan medoxomil, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). Olmesartan works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that causes blood vessels to constrict. By inhibiting this hormone, Olmesartan relaxes and dilates blood vessels, which helps to lower blood pressure and improve blood flow.

INDIACTION

Hypertension : Hypertension is a condition characterized by persistently elevated blood pressure, where the force of circulating blood against the walls of the blood vessels is consistently high. This increased pressure can lead to damage of the arteries and an increased risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

Olmesartan medoxomil 20 mg is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that works by inhibiting the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that causes blood vessels to constrict. DRUG INTERACTIONS

Drug-drug interactions: Olmilip-20 Tablet may interact with other antihypertensives (enalapril, lisinopril, ramipril, and aliskiren), potassium supplements, blood thinner (heparin), a medicine used to treat depression (lithium), non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (ibuprofen, aceclofenac, and diclofenac), a lipid-lowering drug (colesevelam) and certain antacid (cimetidine, ranitidine).

Drug-food interactions: Olmilip-20 Tablet may interact with high potassium-containing food and drinks. Also, alcohol should not be consumed while taking Olmesar 20 Tablet .

Drug-disease interactions: Olmilip-20 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney problems, liver disease, heart failure or problems with your heart valves or heart muscle, diabetes, hyperkalemia (increased potassium levels in the blood), and adrenal gland problems.

PRECAUTION
