DESCRIPTION

Rodeo-D Tablet (Rabeprazole 20 mg + Domperidone 10 mg) is a medicine that consists of Domperidone and Rabeprazole. Rodeo-D Tablet (Rabeprazole 20 mg + Domperidone 10 mg) is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux), nausea and vomiting that may be associated with excess stomach acid production. It works by reducing the amount of acid produced by your stomach. Rodeo-D Tablet (Rabeprazole 20 mg + Domperidone 10 mg) also works on your upper digestive tract to increase gastrointestinal motility, allowing the food to move more easily through the stomach.

INDICATION

• Gastroesophagal Reflux Disease : Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), also known as acid reflux, is a condition in which the stomach acid flows back into the oesophagus (food pipe) and irritates the lining of the food pipe. Symptoms may include belching (also known as burping, which is the release of excess air from the stomach through the mouth), heartburn (burning sensation in the chest), dry cough, etc. Rodeo-D Tablet (Rabeprazole 20 mg + Domperidone 10 mg) is used in the treatment of GERD. Rodeo-D Tablet (Rabeprazole 20 mg + Domperidone 10 mg) also provides relief from nausea and vomiting that may be associated with GERD.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

Rodeo-D Tablet (Rabeprazole 20 mg + Domperidone 10 mg) combined with Domperidone 10 mg is used to manage acid-related gastrointestinal conditions like gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) with associated nausea. Rabeprazole reduces stomach acid by inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme in the stomach lining, while Domperidone improves gastric motility and prevents nausea by blocking dopamine receptors. This combination effectively reduces acid reflux symptoms and enhances digestive function.

DRUG INTERACTIONS

Drug-Drug Interactions: Rodeo-D Tablet (Rabeprazole 20 mg + Domperidone 10 mg) may interact with a blood thinner (clopidogrel, warfarin), antifungal (ketoconazole, voriconazole, itraconazole, fluconazole, posaconazole), anti-HIV drug (atazanavir, amprenavir, nelfinavir), antacid (magnesium hydroxide, aluminium hydroxide, cimetidine), iron supplements, antibiotics (clarithromycin, erythromycin, ampicillin, rifampicin), heart medicine (atropine, digoxin, amiodarone), blood pressure-lowering medicines (diltiazem), anti-cancer drug (methotrexate) and anti-nausea pills (aprepitant).

Drug-Food Interactions: Rodeo-D Tablet (Rabeprazole 20 mg + Domperidone 10 mg) interacts with St John's wort plant that is used as an anti-depressant. This plant may affect the working of Rodeo-D Tablet (Rabeprazole 20 mg + Domperidone 10 mg). So avoid its intake with Rodeo-D Tablet (Rabeprazole 20 mg + Domperidone 10 mg).

Drug-Disease Interactions: Rodeo-D Tablet (Rabeprazole 20 mg + Domperidone 10 mg) should not be given in patients with C. difficile-induced colitis, liver disease, bone fractures, low Vitamin B12 (anaemia), and low magnesium (hypomagnesemia).
